Prodillo vs Schlage, Yale, Ultraloq & Eufy: Smart Lock Comparison

Schlage, Yale, Ultraloq, Eufy and Prodillo all make keyless smart locks for US and Canadian homes. This guide compares them honestly on the things that matter most, so you can pick the right lock for your door, even if that isn't ours.

The short answer: if you want the strongest certified deadbolt and Apple Home Key, look at Schlage. If you want a fingerprint reader without paying a premium, or you have a mortise, commercial, multi-point or sliding door that standard deadbolts don't fit, Prodillo is built for you, with no subscription.

Which lock should you choose?

Choose Schlage Encode Plus if…

  • You want the highest BHMA residential security grade.
  • You're deep in the Apple ecosystem and want Apple Home Key.
  • You're happy to use a code or your phone instead of a fingerprint.

Choose Yale, Ultraloq or Eufy if…

  • You have a standard deadbolt door and want built-in WiFi in the lock itself.
  • You want a big-box brand you can pick up in store.

Choose Prodillo if…

  • You want fingerprint, keypad, card, app and key entry in one lock, at a lower price than most fingerprint competitors.
  • Your door has a mortise lock, a multi-point lock, or is a sliding or commercial door. Most mainstream smart locks only fit standard deadbolt holes. The G2, MS01, R3 and Z10 are built for these doors.
  • You manage rentals or an Airbnb and want timed guest codes that work even when the WiFi is down.
  • You never want to pay a monthly fee.

The honest trade-offs

Remote access: Prodillo locks connect over Bluetooth, so remote access needs the plug-in Prodillo WiFi Gateway (one gateway can serve several locks). Some competitors build WiFi into the lock instead, which is simpler but drains batteries faster.

App: Prodillo uses the free TTLock app, which works with Alexa and Google Home. If Apple Home Key or Matter matters to you, a Schlage or Yale model may suit you better.
